
First Steering Committee Meeting Sets the Stage for Pakistan’s Premier Maritime Expo
Karachi, April 16, 2025 – The preparations for the much-anticipated Pakistan International Maritime Expo & Conference (PIMEC) 2025 officially began with the convening of the 1st Steering Committee Meeting held at Headquarters Commander Karachi, under the auspices of Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, HI (M), Commander Karachi.
PIMEC, a biennial flagship event of Pakistan, serves as a prestigious platform to showcase the latest technologies and developments in the national and international maritime industry. The upcoming second edition of PIMEC is scheduled to take place from 3rd to 6th November 2025 at the Karachi Expo Centre (KEC).
The Steering Committee Meeting marked the formal commencement of preparations for this strategically significant event. It brought together key stakeholders including senior representatives from Federal Ministries, the Government of Sindh, Pakistan Navy, Law Enforcement Agencies, and Badar Expo Solutions, the co-organizer of the PIMEC.
In his opening address, Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi emphasized the critical role of PIMEC in highlighting Pakistan’s maritime potential and unlocking the vast opportunities offered by the Blue Economy. He reiterated that the expo is not just a display of innovation but a catalyst for economic development, policy-level dialogue, and international collaboration.
